We came to see an event at the Co-Op Live arena and it started to hail and the rain became really heavy. We wanted some food and came to the Maine Road Chippy to get warm again and have some food/drink. They were absolutely lovely and gave us a roll of tissue to get ourselves dry and did everything they could to make us feel welcome and make our evening better. The food was lovely too and we honestly can’t thank them enough!

The Irish curry and chips are absolutely delicious. Chips are proper thick and filling which is quite rare these days. The Irish curry has a lovely flavour. My only wish is that they served the take out to eat now meals in bigger trays as the ones they use are more like burger trays than a nice longish chippy tray.
Best chippy in Manchester. Really nice cod and fresh chips and the mint mushy peas and Irish curry is amazing and the onion gravy is excellent too. Defo is the best chippy around
